the challenge

it was a lazy sunday morning today. got a full load of homework to work on for this coming week. i can't wait to go visit home for easter this weekend! a much needed rest is wanted.

linda challenged me to answer this ten question quiz. so here it goes!

1. what did you do 10 years ago? ten years ago i was 13. i was just about to "graduate" from eight grade in a month, so i was planning that. i was also getting ready to enter high school & start taking classes at the community college. big changes were happening! part of me wishes i was still that old : )

2. what did you do one year ago? one year ago i was getting ready to graduate with my ba in sociology. so i was probably stressed about getting my senior project done! i already received my letter that i was accepted to graduate school, so i was pretty excited about that. what else...what else.. oh! again planning for graduate school. & it seems i was just ending a camping weekend.

3. five snacks that you like? well, i don't snack, but if i was to pick five snack type foods... ice cream, hummus & pita chips, guacamole & chips, chocolate covered raisins, & swedish fish : )

4. five songs which you know the whole lyrics to? i know the whole lyrics to many different songs, but these have nice little stories to them: "count on me" by bruno mars - i learned & sang this at cameron's memorial because it is the kind of relationship we had. "hey, soul sister" by train - my mom loves this song & we often sing it in the car when we are going somewhere & are listening to it. "hey jude" by the beatles - this is one of the songs my mom would sing to comfort me when i was little. "the remedy" by jason mraz - this song is one that my friends in high school & i tried to sing all the words to as fast as he does, fun song. "swing swing" by the all-american rejects - a song that i would sing with my friend all the time about nine years ago.

5. five things you would do if you were a millionaire? travel(!!!), buy my parents a house, donate money, buy my sister anything she wants, start a meaningful organization

6. five bad habits? procrastination, watching too many tv shows/movies, eating too fast, not knowing if someone is serious or just being sarcastic, not vacuuming

7. five things you like to do? watch movies, read blogs, craft, go to fairs & festivals (especially craft fairs, zine fairs, & food festivals), be with my family & friends, get mail/packages

8. five things you would never dress in or buy? ugg type boots, mini skirts, stilettos, bling, leggings as regular pants (without a shirt/tunic long enough)

9. five favorite toys? my laptop, my ipod, my books, my sewing machine, my busy bear

i'm feeling much better! thanks for all of the well wishes! i didn't get too sick. resting definitely did me good. i ended up watching bright young things. i really enjoyed it! i was fascinated with the way they dressed & talked. (it's set in 1930s england.)

i'm hopefully going to plant some onion bulbs i got a while back. i'm a bit excited because i love onions & if they grow well, i'll have onions whenever i want them! hehe.

i just bought this book called snoop at barnes & noble for $4.98. it's a really neat book that tells what the stuff people own says about them.

pretty much my purse with my cell, wallet, & moleskine.

ummm i don't really wear makeup...but do let me know your favorites!

probably urban outfitters, h&m, or anthropologie.

well, i think i have new favorites: lola by marc jacobs & lollia breath
but i do like burberry london & princess by vera wang.

flats! i actually don't like to wear heels really. & plus i'm pretty tall, so i don't really need the extra height!

7.Do you make good grades?
yes

8. Favourite colours?
i've liked green & pink for so long, i don't really know what that means anymore.

9. Do you drink energy drinks?
nope. i tried a sip once or twice & hated it each time.

10. Do you drink juice?
no not really. but occasionally i'll have some cranberry or grapefruit juice for breakfast at a restaurant.

11. Do you like swimming?
definitely love swimming.

12. Do you eat fries with a fork?
no....do you?

13. Favourite moisturiser?
i don't think i have one. suggestions?

definitely

um no.

i hate public speaking & when all attention is on me. also i'm scared of heights.

i received this fun award from kait! i now have to list 7 interesting things about me, myself, & i. here goes:
1. the one thing i always wanted to be when i was little was a scientist.
2. without my glasses or contacts i would be legally blind.
3. in high school i was voted "most unique." i'm still not sure if they were trying to say something... :)
4. i've had a total of twenty teeth pulled. not all at once, mind you. *they were baby teeth, i have all my adult teeth still :]
5. i had my first crush in 3rd grade on a 5th grade boy who made fun of my barbie t-shirt & made me cry. after that i started liking him.
6. i am the first person in my family to go to college & get a degree.
7. i love math.

i'm not too sure if those facts were interesting enough...i wish i could think of more interesting ones.

it has been way too long

wow. i am sorry i haven't posted in so long. life has been just too busy. i just finished my summer job at the county fair so now i have more time for other things like blogging! these are photos of my last night at the fair. my friend frankie & i walked around taking photos or all the ride lights. so brilliant! & he made me art at the kid art place we were working at. he's so silly.so, this post is going to contain a lot of different things. i was debating on whether i wanted to do a lot of little posts or one really long one. this long one just seemed easier.

lazy summers

with the first day of summer fast approaching, xavia has tagged me to share some of my favorite things about summer! (all photos from google image)

most of my summers are consumed with fairs! i usually work at the local county fair to display all of the neat crafts & art people make & enter to win ribbons! it's loads of fun & i like walking around fairs. but most of all, what i love about summer is that there is no school & i can just lay back & be lazy.i tag those of you who commented me on the last post:

amongst all the travel, graduations, and parties the past week & weekend i forgot i got another award!! this is a happy childhood award from xavia of ashes on snow. thanks xavia! it is part of a tag as well where you are to show photos of childhood memories.

some of my childhood memories consist of the following (all photos from google image search): star trek the next generation, music on cassette tapes, jellies, visiting lots of museums with my mom, catching bugs, mister roger's neighborhood, american girls (molly was my favorite), taking photos with my first camera which was exactly like the one below.
