we spent the day in the city for raquel's birthday. it was pretty foggy (as it almost always is) & cold, but so fun!!
we stopped at ike's place for the best veggie sandwiches ever. seriously. 
then we made our way to north beach (sf's little italy) & had gelato & pastries in a little cafe. i loved it there.
well, as some of you have noticed, i haven't blogged in quite a while. life has just been too crazy lately. at first school was just super busy & hard. but then the unimaginable happened. saturday night (3.5.11) i heard the worst phone call ever. the news was that my brother, cameron, was in a serious motorcycle accident with severe head & neck injuries. i drove the hour, straight to the hospital & stayed there until i got home at 3 in the morning. the next few days were relatively the same & i was in shock & i was numb. he suffered significant brain damage & did not wake up from a coma. he passed away late monday night (3.7.11) at 24 years old.although he was not my brother by blood, he was part of my family. & honestly i can't put into words how i feel just yet. it's a mix of so many emotions. but now i feel like i have a hole in my heart where he was. but day by day it's starting to get better. i actually started this post 5 days ago, but i couldn't finish it. but today i felt like i was finally ready to tell you about it. i just needed someone to listen. thanks : )
cameron bought me my diana f+ camera & i plan to use much more often. every time i do, i'll think of him : )

i went down to los angeles area this weekend to move my sister into her university this weekend. i'm going to miss her! while on the trip, cameron took me to a boba cafe. it was the first time i ever had boba tea. it was yummy :o)
at the hotel, we were all so sleepy & everyone fell asleep on my bed. i thought it looked a neat photo, how they were all curled up together.
i just got home from the trip & am now watching this movie called uncertainty. so far it's pretty good! i love the colors in the film. plus joseph gordon-levitt is in it, so.... : )
thank you all so much for all of the awesome music suggestions! they really made the long drive down south bearable : )i'm headed back to my new place tomorrow. i really need to go grocery shopping...

cameron's brother alexson is visiting & we took him to see the golden gate on friday. it's fun when someone visits you & it's an excuse to go to all of the tourist places nearby : )
after taking loads of photos of the bridge, the three of us had lunch at a nice little place on the wharf. my spinach salad was amazing & i think they both liked their burgers : )
