walked to the market with my new toms for the first time : ) they are a birthday/christmas gift from my sister. so comfy! sorry for the bad phone photo quality!

bleak house

my life is starting to get really busy again. well, only this one more week of school i need to survive. & then i get almost two months off of school which will be amazing.

even though i've been quite busy, i have loved been able to curl up in my bed while it is raining outside & watch this miniseries on netflix (watch on youtube here) called bleak house (charles dickens). i just love the costumes & scenery throughout the program. oh, & carey mulligan is in it! (love her.)

i took a nice brisk walk outside on the way to the post office today. the leaves were pretty colors everywhere.

the yellow split pea soup was good. made me nice & warm after the chilly outdoors.

i have so much homework to work on tomorrow!

day in the woods

wow! it's about time i posted again. but i think i needed a short break from blogger. i also thought i should blog again before december starts. wait - december?! i can't believe it. & i also can't believe i only have a week & a half more of my first semester of grad school. yikes.

so my thanksgiving was quite lovely. lots & lots of good food! & lots of family & love. everyone loved my roasted red potatoes : )

i went exploring in the forest this weekend : ) this is what i found:tomorrow i'm off to the post office & i think i'm going to make some yellow split pea soup. hope you are happy!
