there are so many things i want to share with you

life has been quite good lately while on break. yesterday i had one of wendy's famous oven-toasted pesto sandwiches for lunch. it was so yummy!after lunch, raquel, mom, & i went thrifting! i found the other boleyn girl ($2.09) by philippa gregory, peach panty hose ($0.50) from the 80s, & a blouse ($1.5o) that i bought for the fabric. i am not sure what i am going to make with it yet...any ideas? after thrifting & dinner out with the family, we went home to watch a thrifted copy of aladdin. my sister, mom, & i have been wanting to see it after seeing this (singing starts at 1:54ish):

we fell in love with brad kane who is aladdin's singing voice! he was only about 17 when he recorded it:]

i saw watchmen last weekend. i'm not sure if i like it yet. i can't decide. but i do know that i loved rorschach. & i do know that i really want to see this!!!

doesn't it look AMAZING!!?? i absolutely love zooey & joseph looks mighty fine:]

inside the cabinet of wonder: yes i am & yes it is! hope you have a nice break home too!

-j. m. williams: thanks for the suggestion! yeah i'm a sociology major & i'm into documentaries & all that stuff. i've actually heard of it before, but haven't seen it yet. my family says hi back:D
allison: well, my favorite movies are the princess bride & the new pride & prejudice (slumdog millionaire might be joining that list!). but i like quirky movies like juno or the science of sleep a lot right now. or sci-fi...or action...really anything but crude humor movies & scary movies. does that help at all?? haha.

show your heart

i was tagged by the awesome nicola of inside the cabinet of wonder (thanks nicola!) to do the 'show your heart tag'...with as much creativity as you can muster, show your heart in: 1 picture, 1 poem, 1 song or piece of music, 1 phrase or quote, 1 piece of clothing, 1 place and (just for fun) 1 disney princess. i think this is going to be a hard one, but i will try!

1 picture: i know it's tiny (i took it on my old cell) but i thought it was exhilarating.
1 poem:
this is a poem that i read a long time ago in elementary school. i can't seem to find the author to it. does anyone know who wrote it? but i loved it ever since. it is quite quirky:]
bingo
Saturday night
Dad washed, I dried
the supper dishes
while Mom armed herself
for Early Bird bingo at seven
in the church basement:
her lucky piece
(a smooth quarter she’d won the first time out),
seat cushion,
and a White Owls box of pink plastic markers.
Dad read the paper
watched TV with me
until Mom returned,
announcing her triumph with a door slam
and a shout“I was hot!”
Flinging her hat,
twirling out of her jacket,
she pulled dollar bills
from her pockets
before setting them free
to flutter like fat spring snow.
“Ninety-two dollars!” she squealed
as Dad hugged her off the floor.
“Ninety-two dollars!”
In bed I listened to
mumbled voices
planning to spend the money-on groceries
school clothes
A leaky radiator-
and wished she’d buy
a shiny red dress
long white gloves
and clickety-click high heels.
1 song: it's in between dawn by jean-yves thibaudet & clair de lune by debussy.
1 phrase or quote: "the shadow proves the sunshine" - jon foreman.
1 piece of clothing: a cardigan.
1 place: a meadow in the woods.
1 disney princess: belle of beauty & the beast.
brinja: thanks:] little maximus is happy. he is always happy when i come into the room where he lives in his little house. how are your fishies?
inside the cabinet of wonder: !! just email me:] & thanks again for the tag!
raina*: hello! oh you are too nice! haha i am trying to do good...but i think the others are soo good! i couldn't add you as an author... you should probably just email lisa:] so long fellow scribbler!
the cherry blog: yes it is:]
