things that made me smile today

this is just a photo of something in my room. these two little chinese people are from my friend ying who lives in china & the 7up glass bottle is from mexico.

i thought this photo of president obama was cute:] sorry, but i don't remember where i got it from. i liked this too. it is from here. i'm not quite sure why i like it, i just do.

i actually am done with classes this week & am heading back home to my parents today. most of my professors cancelled class for a sociology conference. so i am very happy i don't have school again until this coming monday. it's like an extended spring break!

caitlin: :o) thanks for the tag darling. i actually already have done that one though...but thanks for thinking of me!

inside the cabinet of wonder: oh, do get the book! i know you would like it :D ...moleskine & ipod, ah yes!

allison: it really was! i had never had that kind of cheese before & it was just so good. & i LOVE senorita bread!

another beach day & other stuff

i went to the beach again yesterday. it was much colder than last weekend, but it was still nice. we went in a family friend's rv, so the traveling was very comfortable. i grabbed my ipod & my (new!) moleskine & was ready to go.
i did some rock climbing at the beach. for lunch we had some portuguese cheese & sweet senorita bread.the sand on the beach was a bunch of little rocks, not smooth like regular sand. i hunted for some small sea glass & found some! i also brought this book how to be an explorer of the world by keri smith. it is such a neat book & a lot of fun! her blog is really cool too!
tomorrow i head back to school, marking the end of spring break. i have to get back into the swing of things. i cut out coupons from the sunday paper for this weeks grocery shopping once i get back to my house near the university. i am such a starving student...

oh, one more thing: i want this!!

enep: why thank you! :D yes, spending time with dad is good times. i tried to go onto your blog, but internet explorer won't let me:/ ... i'm sorry i can't make comments on it.

kayleigh.: hello! i'm glad you liked my blog! nicola's is amazing though:] i'm so glad you found/liked beirut!! i LOVE them. & amelie music is just perfect. i really like your blog & already put it in my "these are neat!" blog roll:]

happy april

i picked up a copy of slumdog millionaire yesterday!! i watched it with the family last night. it was as fabulous as the first time i saw it!

for those of you interested in making wendy's oven-toasted pesto sandwiches, this is how to make them:
bread roll (any you prefer)
cheese (any you prefer)
kirkland pesto from costco
mixed baby greens
onion
tomato
cut the roll into two halves. spread pesto over each half (i only do one). cover one side with sliced cheese & the other side with sliced tomato & onion. lay on cookie sheet & broil in oven until cheese melts & bread is a little crunchy. take out & add some baby greens to it. & enjoy!

so, today is april fool's day & to celebrate i am posting some funny movie trailers that vamptastic vamp created using twilight clips. they are quite funny! but if you haven't seen the movies they are for, it may be a little confusing...

allison: ooo! that's a good idea. i'll have to see if it's enough fabric though..i'm not sure. 500 days of summer!!!
jordan williams: wow!! really?? a veggie huh? NICE. how's it going so far? well, how to make it is above:]
brinja: aladdin! you should try making the sandwich, i bet you will love it!
sophia: p&p!! now you can make the sandwich:]
inside the cabinet of wonder: ohhh! it is on the way to the post office as i type. finally! i do hope it is there when you get back to uni...i'm not sure how long it takes for england... :o)
